Frequently Asked Questions

Q.Do you have actual kitchen displays or will I be looking at catalogues?

A.We have several kitchen displays, as well as countertops and appliances.

Q. Do you give free estimates?

A. Yes.  We do reserve the right to hold all drawings we produce until the customer has signed a contract.

Q. Do I need to make an appointment to see a designer, or can I just drop by?

A. We prefer that you make an appointment so that the designer can devote his/her complete attention to your kitchen.

Q. How long should I plan on spending with a designer?

A. If you know what you want and an idea of your budget, an hour or less depending on the size of the job.  Otherwise, it could take several hours and visits to complete.

Q. What should I bring with me when I meet with a designer?

A. The most important is your house plans.  If you are remodeling and do not have them, you can bring in measurements of your space.  Also, you may want to bring in magazine clippings or any ideas you may have and your samples of finishes.

Q. Will there be a design fee?

A. Not on most kitchens.  Most kitchens can be designed in a couple of hours.  If it takes more we will discuss the design fee with you at that time.

Q. From what materials are the cabinets made?

A. Most cabinets have wood fronts, metal rollers, & melamine sides.  The more parts of the cabinet are made from ?real wood?, the more it costs.  Cabinets with thicker fronts or sides generally cost more.

Q. Do you have samples I can borrow?

A. We have a few samples of door styles and/or colors that your designer will allow you to sign out through our receptionist.

Q. How much time should I expect for cabinets to come in and be installed?

A. Lead times vary from two to six weeks or more depending on manufacturer.  Kitchens that require more custom work generally take longer.  The sooner you pick out what you want the sooner it will be ready.

Q. How much will it cost?

A. This depends on the size of your kitchen & the cabinets, tops, & appliances you select.

Q. What does this price include?

A. Usually our prices include design & installation of cabinets, tops, knobs & crown.  We do not install sinks, faucets, or appliances.  We do not remove existing cabinets.

Q. Is there any way I can get this cheaper?

A. We carry a wide variety of cabinets at many different price points. There are many options in ways to reduce the price of the cabinets.  All jobs are priced in the same manner.

Q. What are the product warranties?

A. Quality Cabinets:  2 year warranty
Kitchen Craft cabinets: 10 years cabinets, lifetime hardware
Shiloh cabinets: 5 years cabinets, lifetime hardware
Omega cabinets: lifetime cabinets & hardware

Quartz countertops: 10 years

Q. At what point is it too late to make changes?

A. It is always best to make any changes before the cabinets have been ordered.  All changes after this point must be in writing & will entail additional charges.

Q. What are the payment terms?

A. If your contractor is one of our regular customers, you pay him the same way you pay for the rest of the house.
If it is a one-time sale, 50% of the total sale price is due when we order the cabinets.  40% is due when we deliver the cabinets to your house.  The remaining 10% is due when the installation is complete.

Q. Do you accept credit cards?

A. For your convenience, we do accept credit cards.  However, since the fees from credit card companies are not factored into our prices, we must add 3% to the final price of credit card purchases.

Q. Who do I call if I need service after the installation?

A. We have a service department to handle service work.  Call 942-4000, ext. 33.

Q. Are there any finance options available?

A. We offer financing thru Wells Fargo.  Please check with one of our salespeople to see what specials are currently offered.
